Help Horses is a Civil Non-Profit Organization founded by volunteers in September 2023, with the aim of rescuing the approximately 100 abandoned horses that were found living in the outskirts of Ymittos, malnourished, injured and in completely unsuitable conditions.

In August 2023, we discovered the existence of abandoned horses in Ymittos. These horses live in semi-free condition in the outskirts of Ymitos, in the Rapsana area. According to reports, these horses were found there, when several years ago (since 2006 based on the testimonies of residents), were transported to the area a few horses, by a man who was the supposed owner, and they were allowed to reproduce uncontrollably, thus reaching the current population. The NPO (non-profit organization) Help Horses of Ymittos in August 2023 recorded 92 horses, of which about 20 were pregnant.
